Feast of St. Matthew

Today is the feast of St. Matthew - the apostle and evangelist. It is also the name day of Venerable Matt Talbot. Let's give Matt gift today praying for his beatification.

Lord, in your servant, Matt Talbot you have given us a wonderful example of triumph over addiction, of devotion to duty, and of lifelong reverence for the Holy Sacrament. May his life of prayer and penance give us courage to take up our crosses and follow in the footsteps of Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Father, if it be your will that your

your Church, make known by your
heavenly favours the power he enjoys in

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holly Cross.

On Saturday August 25 2018 in front of the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes in Dublin Pope Francis kissed the cross that belonged to Venerable Matt Talbot.

Today materials with Venerable Matt Talbot went to Wronki (Poland).
They will go to prisoners in Wronki Prison the largest prison in Poland. It is possible thanks to the help of people with good hearts.
Among others pens with Venerable Matt set off in the package because prisoners often ask for writing instruments.
So it will be both a practical thing and a reminder about Venerable Matt.
